The Association’s primary focus is to promote reconditioned vehicles conforming to the international standards at a competitive price and fair trading in the used motor vehicle industry versus the importation of brand new vehicles at a higher cost and low standards. Since Japanese used cars are popular in Sri Lanka for its high quality and reliability, the Association and its member’s vision is to import hand-picked high quality Japanese used cars direct to private buyers from auctions in Japan. VIASL is not only a platform for members but also serves as an unofficial regulatory body for the vehicle importing industry in Sri Lanka.
